Olivia Display

The Olivia font emerged from an in-depth exploration of the Hebrew and Latin scripts. Designed by Eran Ben Barak during his master's studies in Typeface Design at ECAL, it aims to create a harmonious dialogue between these two distinct yet complementary writing systems.

The project posed a key question: What defines Hebrew’s uniqueness compared to Latin? And how can contrast and serif conventions be reimagined without losing the essence of either script? The result is an elegant and precise typographic system where both coexist seamlessly, free from "Latinization" or "Hebraization."

Olivia Display is part of the larger Olivia family, set to expand with exciting new variations in the future.
