☆ Modern Kedem Days
This year, after four years of work, we launched Kedem – a multilingual serif font with a graceful attitude that was born from and inspired by heritage posters from the time of Israel’s national founding. The font is characterized by wide letters set at unusual angles, distinctive negative spaces, an upbeat cadence and a free and nostalgic spirit.
☆ Ivrita – Because the Multi-gender struggle is real
From the second half of 2020, we started to develop a variety of typographic tools for gender-inclusive writings (Gender association is very dominant in Hebrew). Ivrita (עבריתה) was created to enable UX and content writing that addresses every user by their personal gender preference:
☆ Fontimonim – 2020 Collection
At Fontimonim we launched a new font at every single full moon. In total, we added 7 new and affordable fonts, together with 8 additional weights to our existing fonts. Every font added to our catalog was designed by the designers we could find and brought with it a new typographic spirit that pushes the boundaries of the Hebrew written language. Meet the new and awesome fonts of 2020:
New Fontimonim:

☆ Prizes, competitions and scholarships!
As in previous years, in 2020 we awarded many prizes aimed at promoting and encouraging creativity in the field of Hebrew typography and the Hebrew language. Prominent among the prizes: the AlefAlefAlef Award for Graduates and the “Working Day” award.
And there is also the AlefAlefAlef Award for women in Graphic Design, which aims to encourage and promote female management and entrepreneurial environment in the field of visual communication.
☆ And these are our people of the year:
AlefAlefAlef exists thanks to all the great creators who take part in our random projects and overall craziness. On this occasion, we would like to say a huge thank you to all the people without whom all this typographic fun would not have happened. Welcome with applause the 113 people who made AlefAlefAlef in 2020:
