Where to Buy Gifts for Designers This Passover? 11 Great Design Shops Across Israel

A journey through local Israeli design shops – from north to south – to help you find the perfect gift for the designers in your life

I set out on a journey from north to south (or at least as far as I managed to travel) to bring you the physical spots – though don’t worry, they all have online stores too – where you can wander, enjoy at least half an hour of fun, and find the gift that will blow your designer friends’ minds. And along the way, without even noticing, you’ll also be supporting local creators, as many of these wonderful shops offer plenty of Israeli-made goods.

MOI

If you live in the beautiful north of Israel, or simply feel like taking a little trip while crossing this important task off your list, this is exactly the place to find a gift with character.
At MOI you’ll find unique items with a clean Scandinavian-inspired aesthetic – paper goods, textiles, wood and home fragrances. Gifts with a story, thoughtful and warm, the kind that make the heart smile.

MEZACH

In the heart of Haifa’s Talpiot Market – inside the unique building of Sirkin 21 – you’ll find this special shop. What makes it special? It brings together Israeli (and especially Haifa-based) design, illustration and art, and serves as a home for local creators.
Here you can find prints, T-shirts, bags, paper goods, books, original artwork and limited-edition items – all unique, all from Israel.
In short: design for designers, with surprises.

GREEN QUEEN

Heading south, we arrive in Binyamina, where you’ll find another beautifully curated selection of gifts designed mostly by Israeli designers – though not exclusively. Among other treasures, you may even discover stunning lighting fixtures.
This magical shop was founded by Ruth Eldad Zeidner, a former costume and set designer who clearly hasn’t lost her impeccable eye for aesthetics and functional beauty.

Asufa

Tel Aviv is home to several shops created especially for designers, but one of the most important – especially for Passover – is this one. Actually, not one shop but three branches, all in Tel Aviv, though my personal favorite is the Jaffa location.
Asufa was founded in 2012 with a clear mission: to give Israeli designers a home. Inside, you'll find an incredible collection of work from over 100 designers across disciplines: textiles, product design, illustration and more.
They also initiate important creative collaborations – such as their annually renewed Passover Haggadah, showcasing brilliant young illustrators and designers. And honestly, that alone could be the perfect holiday gift.

Papier

I’m a paper lover, and I truly hope you are too. In a world filled with artificial intelligence, a little nostalgic counterbalance feels necessary – and this charming shop, just a minute from Rabin Square, delivers exactly that.
Papier is primarily a shop for innovative, locally produced paper goods with unique designs. Supporting local creators always makes me happy.
You’ll also occasionally find rotating exhibitions by guest artists working in ceramics, jewelry, textiles and more.

Yuka & Monsters

A relatively new shop, part of a much larger vision to bring the cultural worlds of geeks, world-builders, dreamers and superheroes to the general public – and it’s simply legendary.
Inside you’ll find comics, collectibles, Israeli art, clothing, unique accessories, games, art supplies and more.
It’s an entire cultural universe (which now includes a publishing house and many in-store events), and I’m certain it will help you land the perfect gift.

Over a decade ago, this beloved brand opened its flagship store in Tel Aviv’s Masaryk Square. Since then, they’ve offered an ever-evolving, eclectic selection of lifestyle goods, centered around their unique paper products sourced from around the world.
A visit to any of their branches – in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem or Rehovot (which I was delighted to hear about) – guarantees endless visual joy, until you finally choose the perfect gift for your loved ones.

As you may guess from the shop’s name, it’s located in the southern and Shfela region, on the way to the Gaza envelope – and it’s impossible not to recommend this gem in Moshav Sitria.
Here you’ll find unique and timeless homeware, textiles, pots, planters, notebooks, accessories, as well as fashion, jewelry and children’s design goods – everything to complete your aesthetic vision and warm your heart.
